Creative Visualization

and the Zen of Creativity

Creative Visualization helps by using a combination of relaxation and your imagination. When you can tune into images, feelings and your senses, you can do amazing things.

Often, the more relaxed you are, the better you are able to create. Think about how you often get great ideas when you are in the shower, driving, or taking a walk. Your mind loves to take information and continue working with it, creating new ideas when you are in a relaxed state.

I think of the "Zen" of Creativity as ways to get yourself in that relaxed state where you are not striving. Creative ideas come to you more easily.

Creative Visualization can help you:

Practice something you want to achieve
Imagine your ideal circumstances
improve your chance of success
Improve your health
Change or control your emotions
Prepare yourself for a change
Relax and Meditate
Rejuvenate

You can practice something you want to achieve. Think about the stories of athletes who have injured themselves but continue to practice through their imagination using creative visualization and seeing themselves actually perform at their peak. Your mind takes in the information as if it's really happening.

You can use this technique for acting, perfoming, public speaking, self confidence, and just about anything you would like to feel comfortable with or improve.

For example, in your quest of the Pursuit of Happiness, you may want to use a guided imagery. The difference of a guided imagery is simply the idea of being guided through a scene or a series of experiences with someone making suggestions for your imagination to process.

I have created a Life Balance Guided Imagery which will be available soon as a download. It addresses all the areas of your life with a chance for you imagination to bring forth what YOU most want in a relaxing, easy way.

I'll continue to add more articles about the Zen of Creativity and ideas for using your imagination, visualization, and relaxation.
